ABSTRACTS AND PANELS SUBMISSION
CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDANCE

We invite you to submit abstracts for consideration for oral or poster presentation at the 8th HTAi Annual Meeting.

Abstract submission dates: September 6, 2010, to January 30, 2011. No abstract will be considered after the closing date.

Abstracts should be written in English, with a maximum of 300 words and 3,000 characters.

Please note that presenting authors whose abstracts are accepted MUST pay their registration fees no later than April 30, 2011.

Abstracts MUST be submitted online at www.htai2011.org

Number of abstracts
There is no limit to the number of abstracts an author or group of authors may submit.
However, only one oral presentation and two poster presentations are allowed per presenting author, thereby maximizing the number of registrants able to present their abstracts.

Abstract submission guidelines
Submitted abstracts must be no longer than 300 words and 3,000 characters and written in English. No figures or tables may be included. Authors must indicate the type of presentation for which they would like their abstract(s) considered (i.e., oral presentation only, poster presentation only, oral or poster presentation, or interactive sessions on HTA policy and practice). A structured abstract is preferred for empirical studies (i.e., Objective, Methods, Findings, and Conclusions). For abstracts discussing methods, policy, ethics, or social issues, an unstructured format is acceptable.

All abstracts are to be submitted to the HTAi 2011 Conference Secretariat through the HTAi 2011 website at www.htai2011.org

Review, acceptance and notification
All abstracts will be reviewed by an Abstract Review Committee assembled and managed by the International Scientific Program Committee.
Receipt of abstract submission will be acknowledged via email. E-mail notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the submitting author by March 18, 2011.
Submission of abstracts constitutes the authors’ consent to have the abstracts published in the HTAi 2011 Abstracts Book. Abstracts may also be edited for publication.

Poster Presentations
Authors of Poster presentations are provided with poster boards approximately 90cm (wide) X 120cm (high) to display their poster. Poster presenters are requested to stand next to their posters during the poster sessions and to comply with the poster set-up and schedules. In addition, poster presenters are encouraged to bring up to 50 printouts of their poster, but this is not mandatory. Poster prizes will be awarded to the best posters presented.
