HOW TO USE THE ONLINE ABSTRACT/PANEL SESSION SUBMISSION SYSTEM
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- If you are submitting more than one abstract/panel session you can use the same login for each abstract/panel session.
- You can change your abstracts/panel session at any time up to the
deadline. Please note that the deadline for abstracts submission is
January 30, 2011, and the deadline for panel session submission is
November 15, 2010.
- Do
not include author names in the title or body of your
abstract because a “blind” reviewing process will be used – you can
enter the names online during the submission process.
THE SUBMISSION PROCESS
- Log in to the submission system when you have prepared your abstract
or panel session topics – enter the email address you specified when you
registered with the system.
- You will be directed to a screen from which the submission process
starts. Please read the instructions carefully. If you wish to submit a
new abstract/panel session you should click the link that says “click
here to submit a new abstract” or “click here to submit a new panel
session”.
- Submitting an abstract/panel session is a multi-step process. Each
step involves several questions. Some questions are marked “required”,
and you will not be able to complete your submission until these
questions have been answered.
- If you have to stop part-way through the process, your submission will
be held in temporary storage until you return later and complete all
the questions. When you log in again you can click on your incomplete
abstract/panel session form and resume submission.
AMENDING A SUBMISSION
You may wish to change your submission. You can do this at any time up to the deadline.
- Log in to the submission system
- You will see a list of the abstracts/panel sessions that you have submitted. Click on the one that you wish to change.
- Amending an abstract/panel session involves the same procedures as the
original submission process, except that the online form will be
completed automatically with the answers that you gave previously. You
do not have to change anything unless you want to.
- After you reach the final step and press “FINISH”, you will receive an e-mail confirming that your abstract has been amended.
